What are the advantages of buying an ALEA game?
Very inexpensive games : we decided not to print these games into a finished product in order to let you purchase the games at a very decent price : no publishing and printing fees, no conditioning fees and no shipping fees on all downloaded games.
Unlimited copies of the game for your personal use : whether you have 4 students or 60 or more in your class, you can print as many copies of the game as you like. We decided to do this so that language teachers with large classes do not have to buy more material than teachers with small classes.
Free upgrades to come for the game purchased : any upgrade in content (quality or quantity) or design of the game is yours. You can download it again for free and print the upgraded game when it comes out. We'll inform you regularly through the newsletter.

Note : ALEA games do not always cover all levels, sometimes only 2 or 3 different levels depending on the complexity, mechanism and contents of the game.
Games framed and adapted to the official CEFR (Common European Framework Reference). Adapt the game depending on your learners' level. The contents respect the language goals put forward by the CEFR in terms of vocabulary acquisition, grammar, pronunciation, phonetics and other speaking, reading, writing and hearing competencies.
Get free game material : you can download all the free material you find on this site. Under each free product, you will find a link to directly download a pdf or text document for immediate use. You will find free games, free activities, free learning and teaching material and tips, free dice, free pawns and other French language related material for teachers and students of French.
Game material easy, quick and fun to use : game rules are always simple so that the learning goals are clearly set. Rules are in English and French and soon in other languages in order to help foreign learners grasp the rules quickly and get down to playing and learning.
Different game rules allow variety. A learner can even play solitary with the ®Thumbbip method for games exploring idiomatic expressions in French (see Arc-en-Ciel for example)
The mechanics of the game allow for everyone to participate all the time with no dead time and this in order to maximize class-time during French class.
Game time : between 10 to 30 minutes depending on the games. You can also set the time, so that a game can finish within a given time (15 minutes for example). Students count their points or see who has actually gotten farthest on the board game.
Number of players : from 3 to 6 players usually but some games rules allow for more or only 2 players, or even solitary.
Some of these games have been used for classes up to 60 students. You can make copies of the games for your class and have groups of 6 players around tables. A fun way to get everybody involved and active even in the largest classes.
